Depending on where you live and how much you earn, you may receive year-end tax documents summarising your Chiify income — useful for your tax return. This is general information, not tax advice.
What you might receive
- US-based authors may receive a year-end income summary appropriate to their status (tied to the W-9 on file).
- Non-US authors may receive a summary appropriate to cross-border royalty income (tied to a W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E).
- Either way, your earnings history is always exportable from your dashboard — see where to find your sales data.
What to do with them
- Keep them with your records.
- Hand them (and your exported earnings) to your accountant.
Keep your details current
Make sure your tax form and payout details are correct and your account email is current so any documents reach you. For how tax may be withheld, see does Chiify withhold tax.
