Do I need an ISBN?
Some retailers require one. Chiify can issue a Bowker-registered ISBN from our pool, or you can bring your own (BYOI). Print formats almost always need an ISBN.
How long until my book goes live?
Amazon Kindle is often live in 24–72 hours. Apple, Google Play, and Kobo typically take 3–5 business days. Library channels can take 1–3 weeks. We deliver within an hour of approval; the wait is on the retailer.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed monthly after retailers report sales. Timing varies by store; your Chiify dashboard shows what’s earned and what’s ready.
