The essentials

- No placeholder/template text (no "lorem ipsum" or KDP boilerplate).
- A clean, valid file — Chiify's free conversion handles this for you; see EPUB validation.
- A proper cover — see cover requirements.
- Complete, honest metadata, including AI disclosure where relevant.
- Content within our policy.
The process
New accounts get a quick approval, and each book passes review within 24–48 hours. If something falls short, you get clear reasons and can fix and resubmit — nothing is a dead end.
Common reasons new authors get held
