For most books, your declaration of ownership at upload is enough. But Chiify may ask for proof of rights if a title is flagged — for example a suspected duplicate, a public domain edition, or a possible infringement.

What counts as proof

Your original manuscript files and drafts (showing authorship history).
A copyright page with your name and year — see what is a copyright page.
Contracts or licences if you publish work you commissioned or co-own.
For translations, the rights to the source text.
