Can I publish PLR (private label rights) books?

PLR content is discouraged because it's non-unique and stores reject duplicates. Heavily rewritten, original work under your name may be considered.

PLR (private label rights) content — pre-written material many people can rebrand — is strongly discouraged on Chiify.

Why

PLR is sold to countless buyers, so the same text ends up everywhere. Stores treat near-identical books as duplicate, low-value content and reject them, and Chiify's quality review will usually block them too.

If you still want to use PLR

You would need to transform it into genuinely original work — substantial rewriting, restructuring, fact-checking, and adding real value of your own — to the point that it is effectively a new book you authored. A light reskin will not pass.

The honest recommendation

Readers and stores both reward originality. Your own voice and expertise will always outperform rebranded PLR. See accepted and restricted content and content that's not allowed.

What "transformed enough" really means

A few swapped words is not enough. To pass, PLR would need a genuine rewrite in your own voice, new structure, fresh examples, fact-checking, and real added value — effectively a new book you authored. If you are doing that much work, you are better off writing original content from the start, which readers and stores both reward.
