Chiify accepts DOCX, DOC, RTF, ODT, TXT, and PDF. Upload any of these as your manuscript and we convert it to a clean EPUB 3 automatically — the format every major store expects.

• DOCX gives the best result. Word documents carry clean headings and paragraph structure, which convert beautifully. If you can export to DOCX, do that.
• PDF works too, but it is a fixed-layout, print-first format, so reflow is best-effort. Always preview it carefully.

Preview before you commit
