Payout methods: NGN, USDT, USD wire, US ACH
Every way Chiify can pay you, with minimums, timing, and fees.

Chiify supports four payout methods. You pick which one(s) to use; you can change anytime in Settings → Payouts.
Nigerian Naira local bank transfer
Minimum: ₦20,000 Speed: 1–2 business days Fee: None on our side; bank may charge incoming-transfer fee (₦100–500 typical).
How it works: we convert your USD balance to Naira at the prevailing rate and send via Nigerian local rail (NIBSS instant payment) to any Nigerian bank account.
Best for: any Nigerian author with a Naira bank account. Cleaner than PayPal, no FX spread games.
USDT on Tron (TRC20)
Minimum: $10 Speed: Under 1 minute after we initiate. Fee: None on our side; Tron gas fee is fractional and we cover it.
How it works: we send USDT (Tether — a US-dollar-pegged stablecoin) to the TRC20 wallet you specify. You can hold it, off-ramp to your local currency via Binance P2P / Bybit P2P / KuCoin P2P, or pay with it directly.
Best for: small/frequent payouts, crypto-native authors, or authors in countries where bank transfers are restricted.
US ACH
Minimum: $10 Speed: 1–2 business days Fee: None.
How it works: standard US bank ACH transfer. Requires a US bank account.
Best for: US-based authors. Cheapest and fastest method available, but requires US banking.
International USD wire
Minimum: $50 Speed: 3–7 business days Fee: None on our side; intermediary banks in the SWIFT chain typically deduct $30–50.
How it works: SWIFT wire to any USD bank account anywhere in the world. For Nigerian authors, this lands USD into a domiciliary account (any major bank — GTBank, Zenith, Access, UBA, First Bank, Stanbic).
Best for: large payouts ($1,000+) where the flat wire fee is a small percentage. Below $500, the wire fee eats more than the FX you'd save vs Naira local transfer.
Recommended approach for Nigerian authors
- Under ₦200,000/month — Naira local transfer
- Over ₦200,000/month — Naira local transfer (still the cleanest path)
- Want to hold USD — international wire, once a year, for whatever balance you want in your domiciliary account
- Want crypto — USDT for any amount
Recommended approach for US-based authors
US ACH for everything. Cheap, fast, simple.
Recommended approach for the rest of the world
USDT TRC20 for small/frequent, international wire for $1,000+.
Switching methods
From Settings → Payouts, click Add method and configure. Your next payout will use whichever method is set as default. You can have multiple methods and choose per-payout.
Tax forms
For US authors: we issue a 1099-NEC if you earn $600+ in a calendar year.
For non-US authors: we collect a W-8BEN at signup. This certifies you're a non-US taxpayer and we don't withhold US tax.
For Nigerian authors specifically: your Chiify income is foreign-sourced for FIRS purposes. We don't withhold any Nigerian tax (we have no Nigerian tax presence). You're responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes.
