Why isn't my book on sale yet, or still in review?

Books pass a 24–48 hour Chiify review, then each store ingests on its own schedule — so live dates vary by retailer. Here's the timeline and what to check.

Two clocks are running between submit and on sale: Chiify's review, and each store's own ingestion. Here is what is happening and when to worry.

The normal timeline

Chiify review (24–48 hours). Every book passes a human review and an automated quality check before delivery. Status shows In review.
Delivery. Once approved, Chiify sends your files and metadata to each store you selected.
Store ingestion (hours to ~1–2 weeks). Each retailer processes new titles on its own schedule. Amazon and Google are often fast; some stores take longer. This part is outside Chiify's control.

What your status means

Check your dashboard — see What does my book's status mean. In review and Delivered are both normal stages, not errors.

When to take action

*Still In review after 48 hours?* It may be queued; if it is much longer, open a ticket.
Blocked? It needs a fix — see Why was my book blocked.
Live on Chiify but not in a store after ~2 weeks? Send us the book and the store and we will chase the retailer.

Patience pays here — a correctly delivered book will appear; stores simply ingest in batches.
