Changing your Chiify password

How to reset your password — when you remember it and when you don't.

Two ways to change your Chiify password.

If you're signed in

  1. Settings → Security
  2. Change password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password (8+ characters, ideally 12+, with a mix of letters/numbers/symbols)
  5. Click Update

You stay signed in everywhere. Your active sessions on other devices are unaffected — those keep working.

If you forgot your password

  1. From chiify.com/login, click Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email you signed up with.
  3. Check your email for a reset link (sent within 60 seconds).
  4. Click the link, set a new password.

The reset link is valid for 1 hour. After that, request a new one.

If you don't get the reset email

  • Check spam folder. Some email providers route password reset emails to spam.
  • Confirm the email address. Make sure you used the email you registered with, not a different one.
  • Wait a few minutes. Email sometimes takes 5–10 minutes to arrive.
  • Email [email protected]. If after 30 minutes you still haven't received it, we can reset manually.

Good password practices

  • Length over complexity. "rainbow lobster basket coffee" is more secure than "P@ssw0rd!".
  • Never reuse a password from another site. If that site gets breached, your Chiify account is at risk too.
  • Use a password manager. 1Password, Bitwarden, Apple Keychain, Google Password Manager. Pick any and use it.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication. Even if someone steals your password, they can't log in without your phone.

Enable two-factor authentication

Strongly recommended:

  1. Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication
  2. Install an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).
  3. Scan the QR code we show you.
  4. Save the backup codes — 10 single-use codes you can use if you ever lose your phone.

After enabling, every new sign-in asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
