Traded Him for the Club

Hawk patched me as his old lady, then vanished for six months without a word. The club knew he was in a hospital bed. They lied to me for half a year. I threw his patch in his face and moved to the desert. Two years later he shows up at my trailer with a blown-out knee and his own club hunting him. I let him sleep on the pull-out because I'm not cruel. I let him cook because I can't stand. But when the men who lied to me come to drag him back, they find out I've been reading the club's incorporation papers. I'm not taking him back, I'm taking what's mine.
