The Vow in Winter Glass

Vinterglass keeps its own sun in a glass chapel so the lord of the manor can walk without burning. Ingrid Halvorsen is the new winter keeper, hired to fill the lamps and not ask what they burn. The wicks drink years, not oil, and the ledger beside the altar is keeping her accounts. Under the frozen lake, the manor's other daughter is waking, and she has a list of everyone her brother ever promised her. Ingrid has six months of dark, one lamp, and a vow to give back. In the darkest hour she is going to walk out on the ice and return it in person.
