The Silent Underboss

Freya Lindqvist cleans up after the Lindqvist firm — the blood, the witnesses, the paperwork nobody wants to sign. She has kept her brother Erik's seat warm for nine years while he's technically dead. Then the underboss goes missing and Freya finds Ivan in a bakery basement, chained, starved, and no longer human. The rules are clear: she should put him down. She cuts the chains instead. Someone is turning made men into assets, one at a time, for a fee. The paperwork runs back twenty years. It runs back through her own family. Freya has cleaned every kind of scene in Malmö. This is the first one she intends to leave behind her. A Nordic vampire crime thriller about a fixer who stops fixing and starts ending things.
