The Salt Road Home

Odile Vance sells salt. She has never cast a spell, never held a sword, and never wanted either. Then an interface she did not ask for informs her that she is a wizard, that her class is Wandering Fixer, and that her only quest is: Take the salt road home. The salt road has been closed for sixty years. So Odile buys a mule, packs a ledger, and sets off with a runaway acolyte, a general who has swapped his sword for a ladle, and a goblin engineer banned from three provinces. Together they will walk the length of a dead trade route, fixing one buried machine at a time, because the thing that closed the road was not a monster. It was a mechanism nobody remembered how to maintain. A classic high fantasy whimsical fantasy LitRPG romance about mules, mileage, and mending what you can.
