The Prodigal Prez's Baby

I've been the Black Aces' unofficial fixer for years — handling wives, girlfriends, funerals, and babies born in the back room. I never thought I'd be the one with the baby. Then Adrien Kelly, exiled president, came home from Nevada, and I had to tell him he had a son. He wasn't gone because he didn't want us — he was gone because his cousin put a price on his head. He's back to reclaim his patch and the boy he didn't know about. He expects the club's women to be soft and waiting. I'm neither. I held this club together while he was gone, and I'm not about to hand it back to a man who thinks he can just walk in and take what he wants — including me. His cousin wants him dead. When the bullets fly at the rally, Adrien takes one for us. He lives. He patches our son's name on his cut. And I finally let myself say yes.
