The Ossuary Bell

Bexley Grange has kept an ossuary bell for two hundred years, and nobody in Trill will say who rings it. Archivist Prosper Mireille came to catalogue the bones and found them arranged like a chime, missing one piece, with her own mother's name in the donor ledger. The Grange rings for every Bexley born, and the family is nearly out of births. A child arrives in the village, the bell reaches for a clapper that isn't there, and the ossuary begins to stand up. Prosper has exactly one clean ring left in her, and she knows whose name to ring it under.
