The Iron Capo

Nadia Ferrante has spent her whole life reading numbers. On the night her father is executed in his kitchen, the last number she reads is the one that will kill her. Dario Malvezi wants the ledger her father kept, and he wants the only person alive who can read it. His offer is a ring or a shallow grave. Nadia takes the ring. Now she is married into the Malvezi family in name only, locked in a lake house with three months of ledgers, one capo who will not touch her, and a name in her father's handwriting that belongs to the man sworn to protect them both. She has a pen, a photocopier, and one move left. She intends to use all three.
