The Devil's Passenger

Iris Kwan drives the graveyard shift and takes the surge rides nobody else wants. The man bleeding in the back of her Corolla is the surge of a lifetime: triple fare, cash, no questions, four hours to Elko. Lorne Shea is the president of the Caldera Kings, and he does not do repeat business. Two weeks later, he offers Iris a paycheck as the club's untraceable driver — no patch, no protection, no explanation for what was in the bag. She takes it. She shouldn't have. Now her father's debt collector is working for the wrong club, and the cargo she moved that night is the only thing between Lorne's people and a war. The Kings have a rule for everything except a woman like Iris. She intends to write her own.
