The Daughter of the Don

Giulia Vescari is a don's daughter in exile, sent to a West Texas horse academy because someone in Chicago wants her dead. Boone Maddox is a senior with calloused hands and a family name the Vescari family owns. The academy assigned them to the same corner of campus. It was supposed to be a punishment. Instead, Boone teaches Giulia to ride, Giulia teaches Boone what her father's world actually costs, and they both learn what it is to stand in front of a man with a gun and not step back. When the enforcer comes to collect, Boone says no. Giulia says it with him. They enter the fall rodeo for the money to save Boone's ranch, and they ride like their lives depend on it. Because they do. The don is watching. The don always watches.
