The Consort's Broken Oath

For ninety years, every Sombra king has taken a consort — and every consort has paid with half their wolf. Mateu Reis swore the oath ten years ago. He also swore to hide one thing from the king: Aleixo Sombra is his fated mate, and the oath will kill him before the year is out. The crown comes due this winter. The court wants a new consort. A rival faction has the scent of the bond and plans to use it. And Aleixo has no idea the man he's been quietly in love with for a decade is dying ten feet from his throne. Mateu has to confess. Aleixo has to choose. And the oath that has held the kingdom for a century is about to break on the palace steps. A slow-burn fated mates royal shifter romance.
