The Cold Consigliere

Sandro Ucci spent six months building a case against the Vasto construction company and her only informant was her uncle. When he turns up in a canal, the bureau pulls her wire, puts her in a safehouse in Litchfield, and stops returning her calls. Danilo Moretti is fifty-seven, the family's consigliere, and the only person in Hartford who noticed the leak six months ago and hasn't told anyone. He rents the property next door under a false name and waits for her on a hiking trail. What he wants is the broker who has been selling his family's phone records to the government. What she wants is the man who killed her uncle. What they discover is that both answers have the same name and he has been calling Danilo Dad since he was eleven. The case is going to collapse either way. The question is who collapses it, and on whose terms.
