The Coach He Ruined

Eight years ago, Stefan Kovač slept with two of his own players and lost his career for it. Now he's been hired to coach the Wilkes-Barre Steel in the AHL, and two of the men on his roster are the same two men — a veteran center with a ruined knee and an enforcer who never got his hundred NHL games. Aleksy still wants him. Piet still hates him. Neither feeling has ever been resolvable, and this time they have an entire season to find out if it can be. There's no rulebook for this. They're going to have to write one — and then one of them is going to get an offer they can't refuse.
