The Chapel of Liars

Blackfriar Academy is a converted seminary with a chapel, a bell tower, and a body count nobody talks about. Aveline Marsh is there on a scholarship she can't afford to lose. On her first night, a girl falls from the tower while Aveline is watching from the courtyard. The three boys who own the senior class — Rhys Ashby, Tomas Bell, and Jonah Pryce — all say they saw nothing. Aveline says nothing too. Then she starts reading the handbook. The initials in the margins go back forty years. The boiler room in the chapel basement isn't a boiler room. And the three boys who keep appearing at her door aren't trying to scare her — they're trying to keep her. One locks her in. One burns her evidence.
