The Biker's Broken Promise

Twelve years ago Marisol Vance left Ridgeback with a promise in her pocket. Trick swore he would come for her. He didn't. Now she is back to bury her mother, and the house has a lien and a driveway full of motorcycles. Trick is the club president. Bishop keeps the books and will not look at her. Dovetail did not know her before, but he knows why she left, because he is the only one asking. Ridgeback is selling its water to a pipeline company, and the club is the last thing standing in its way. Marisol is the only attorney in the valley who will take the case. The only fee the club can offer her is the one thing she spent twelve years refusing: the three of them, at her back. She came home to sell a house. She is going to stay to save a valley. But first she is going to ask Trick one question, and he is going to have to answer it.
