The Biker President's Sister Took the Cut

Marlow Ledoux has dispatched trucks for the Bayou Serpents for seventeen years and never once worn a patch. Her brother Ellis wears the president's. He also, she just discovered, has been shaving three hundred grand out of the widows' fund — the fund Marlow runs — to pay off a sheriff and keep a nineteen-year-old girlfriend in Baton Rouge. She has forty days until the audit. She is not going to scream. She is not going to cry. She is going to open a credit union account, build a paper trail, hand it to a sheriff's deputy at her own tow yard, and take her brother's chair. No woman has held the Bayou Serpents presidency in this parish. There's a first time for everything.
