The Biker President Took Her Ring Back

Astrid Lindqvist planned her wedding for eleven months. She found out about the affair from a bakery receipt: two slices of her own signature cake, bought on a Tuesday, two forks. She cancelled the wedding by email before lunch. By dinner she was standing in the Blue Ash Reapers clubhouse, asking their president to help her take back the bakery her fiancé and her partner are trying to steal out from under her. Rook Darby is forty-six, six-one, and owed her a favour. He's also the first man in years who has asked her want she wants and then done exactly that. She wants the shop. She wants her name on the door. She does not want to need him — but the lawyer is good, the croissants are better, and the man keeps waiting in the truck. The cake is on the house. The man is not.
