The Anniversary Dinner He Skipped for Her

Anjali Mathur wore the sari he once said he loved, sat at the table he proposed at, and waited two hours on their fifth anniversary. Rohan was across the city at a Diwali event with the woman he calls his work wife in front of his mother. She went home, packed a bag, and moved into her cousin's flat in Bandra. He called it dramatic. It wasn't. Over ten months Anjali returns to her architecture practice, meets the other woman, and learns a worse truth: his firm has been offering him partnership on the condition that he keeps a clean public image — and she was always part of the image. When the firm's numbers leak and Rohan's name goes with them, she does not save him. She tells the board the truth. What she does next is decide whether a man who has spent a year being boringly, unglamorously consistent deserves a second table. A billionaire marriage-in-crisis second-chance romance set in Mumbai.
