The Analyst She Buried

Forensic psychologist Dr. Wren Halloway has spent fifteen years telling juries that memory is a story the mind tells itself. Then the man she helped convict is released, and the witness who lied to put him away is found dead in her bathtub. Wren goes back to her old session tapes expecting to clear her name. Instead she hears her own voice, off-mic, feeding that witness facts that were never in evidence. Someone has been living inside her case files — and wearing her handwriting. As Wren retraces twelve years of interviews she finds notes she cannot remember writing, a patient who does not exist, and a locked drawer in the home of the gentle man who cooks her dinner every night. The truth is not that she forgot. The truth is that she was never supposed to remember. A dark psychological thriller of false memory, buried testimony and the deadliest intimacy of all.
