Stolen From the Ice

Anya Sokolov has moved money through six hockey leagues and never once been caught. On her last handoff, she is. Marek Bielski is the Ravens' starting goalie, and he has spent eighteen months handing the FBI everything he knows about the family that owns his career. He was not supposed to save her. He was supposed to let her fall. Instead he takes her north, to a cabin with one road and no signal, and keeps her there through the worst winter in a decade. She has the ledgers. He has the recordings. Neither of them survives without the other's testimony, and neither of them is willing to say out loud what this has become. In March they turn themselves in. A dark hockey bratva romance with a captive heroine who was never a victim, an informant goalie who was never clean, and a case that will take down a hockey family and every official who looked away.
