Stealing the Capo's Boat

Jo Marchetti has thirty-eight dollars and a boat she shouldn't have touched. It belongs to the Vettori family, which owns half the slips at Bainbridge Marina and doesn't like paperwork that gets filed. Nico Vettori catches her returning it. Wet. Holding a squeegee. He doesn't call the police. He offers her a summer job. So Jo cleans the boats nobody asks about and keeps her mouth shut about what's in the cabins below deck. She learns two things fast: Nico hates his family's business, and his family is buying the marina one silent deed at a time. In November, she finds the folder. In December, she gives Nico a choice. A High School Capo Romance about bad decisions, good bookkeeping, and a very dented Subaru.
