Smart Thermostat Made Simple

If you have just brought home a smart thermostat and the manual reads like a foreign language, you are not alone. Walter Hemsley wrote this guide for readers over sixty who want steady, plain-English help, not a lecture on technology. By the last page, you will be able to install, connect, and confidently run your thermostat, saving energy and staying comfortable without calling a grandchild for help. Inside, you will find step-by-step instructions for safely removing your old thermostat and wiring the new base, a calm walk through the first setup screens and Wi-Fi connection, and a simple plan for building a comfort schedule that actually saves money. There is also a chapter on fixing common problems without fear and a one-page playbook to keep by the furnace. Take your time with it. The house will be warm when you are done.
