Sable

Sable Reyes runs a ghost-herding business out of a food truck and her abuela's recipe book. Mostly she talks the recently dead into leaving. She's good at it. Then a teenager refuses to cross, and the other ghosts start drifting toward the bridge like it's a light. Sable needs someone on the inside. Kaya has run the bridge's ghost tour for eleven years, keeps every spirit on it calm without believing in a single one, and has just seen her own dead brother get off the 504 streetcar. They make a deal: Sable cooks, Kaya walks, they bring the kid home. What Sable didn't plan for is how easy it is to keep walking. The truck was her mother's unfinished thing. Kaya might be the thing worth not finishing it for.
