Rejected in the Iron Keep

Mira Deneuve has spent her life at the anvil, blacksmithing blades for high-blooded wolves who will never look at her twice. When the new Alpha of Iron Keep walks into her forge and the bond snaps, she feels it in her knuckles before she feels it anywhere else. He rejects her the same night. Alliance bride. Political necessity. Nothing personal. She goes back to the hammer. But Bastien Roux starts showing up at midnight. He tells her it's the iron. He tells her it's the war. He tells her a lot of things with his back to her, never looking at her face. His bride's pack is starving, and starving packs do not keep promises. When the walls are breached, only one person in the keep knows how to arm it. Mira with her apron on and a hammer in her hand. If Bastien wants her at the gate, he will have to mean what he says this time.
