Rebel's Broken Old Lady

Fifteen years I fed the Rebel clubhouse out of my own kitchen. One Tuesday I found my vice president on the flour table with my cousin, and I packed my knives and left. Five years later my cousin is dead, the case is unsolved, and the only witness left is the man who broke my heart. Arlo has been sober since the day I walked out. He brings me the file and lets me decide what to do with it. He doesn't flinch at the parts that make him look bad. I go back to Dagger Falls and cook for the Rebels one last time, just so I can be standing where I need to be when Arlo hands in his patch in front of the whole club. He doesn't get a second chance because he's sorry. He gets one because he's finally willing to lose everything else.
