His Cruel Little Secret

Noelle Ferris has one rule at Brackenridge: don't get noticed. Her roommate just broke that rule for her. Mari is gone. Her things are still on the bed. On Noelle's pillow the next morning, a photograph of Noelle sleeping — taken at 3:14 a.m., from inside the room. The print stock leads to the darkroom. The darkroom leads to Whitaker Blaine, who runs the campus laundry, knows every hall's alarm code, and has been photographing Noelle since the day she moved in. He won't tell her where Mari went. He will follow her while she finds out. Noelle needs him. She does not trust him. She will not let go of him until this is done. And after it's done, she'll see whether she can.
