Her Hidden Enforcer

Tess Ives has been handling the Ashford family's Bellhollow problems for four years and the job has one rule: no names on paperwork. Then a transfer student enrolls with Chicago muscle and a short fuse, and her handler tells her to keep him close. Ilya Sorin was supposed to sit still until things cooled off. Ilya was not supposed to notice the front companies, the slush payments, the two board members one bad quarter from flipping. By mid-semester they've started trading what they know in the assistant dean's office with the door propped open, one item at a time, like an interview neither of them admits to conducting. When the file is big enough to use, the family notices. When the family notices, one of them is going to have to be somewhere else when the bullet arrives.
