Haunted by the Mirror Reader

Vashti Kal can read everything a person has ever seen in any reflective surface. Including the day she dies. She was nine. She has spent twenty years avoiding bridges, rain and tall strangers. Then Aevar Rune walks into her workshop to commission a mirror. He is the stranger from her death. She takes the job anyway. Two years, a hundred glass-towns, one coastline that will not stay still. They argue about whether the sea remembers anything, share one narrow mirror-tent every night, and she tells him everything but the one truth that matters. When the bridge from her vision finally arrives — same rain, same stranger, same falling — Vashti learns the prophecy was always incomplete. A sweeping fantasy romance about the difference between seeing your future and choosing it.
