Dust on Her Cut

Eight years I ran the Tucson line with the Sonoran Ravens. I was the only woman at that table with a vote. Then my husband brought a Phoenix waitress to the clubhouse, and the Ravens decided I was the one with the problem. They took my vote. They offered me a seat at the auxiliary — the widow's table — while he was still very much alive. So I took every dollar I had and bought the old tire shop out from under them at county auction. Now I've got two tow trucks, the Ravens' old impound yard, and every contract they used to hold on I-10. Tiny's standing in my bay asking me to save his club and take him back. I'm going to make him work for the second one. And Rennie, sweetheart — I've got news for you too.
