Chasing the Marshal

Elena Voss has chased Rocco Amato for four years. When she finally gets him in cuffs, the Department of Defence signs a piece of paper that vanishes the whole case. He walks out the front doors of the federal courthouse and gives her a look she will think about for six weeks. Then someone puts two bullets in her partner's driveway, and the only man in New Jersey who knows which capo gave the order is the one who walked. Rocco doesn't want to be a snitch. Rocco wants her to stop pretending she doesn't need him. She is a U.S. Marshal. He is a logistics contractor with a DoD retainer and a body count. Neither of them is good at this.
