Caught in the Cordon

Marisol Duarte cleans crime scenes in Brownsville, Texas. Four in a week. Four kinds of blood she didn't cause, doesn't recognize, and can't scrub out of the grout. The crew that handles the jobs nobody else will is run by a vampire named Cordon. He hires her the same night she applies. He's polite. He's old. He knows her mother. When her mother dies, and a rival crew starts feeding in the open, Marisol discovers what her family gave up thirty years ago — and what she's willing to pick up. She will not carry teeth or a sword. She'll carry a squeegee, a respirator, and a straight razor, and she will teach the rival crew how to be cleaned up. A dark modern vampire romance, written in bleach and blood.
