Briar

Briar Vance is nineteen, broke, and out of places to run. The only person who ever stood between her and her stepfather's fists rode out of Rockford when she was nine and never came back. She finds him anyway, at a motorcycle club on the wrong side of the river, a man the patch calls Crow — forty-one years old, grey at the temples, and the last person on earth who should want her. He takes her in because he owes her mother a debt he has been paying in monthly instalments for eight years. He gives her a room, a job, and one rule: nothing about him is hers. Briar breaks rules.
