Bonds of the Blood King

I have one semester to pick a mate, or the throne goes to my cousin. He is patient. He is cruel. He has been waiting for it his whole life. I picked nobody. I planned on picking nobody. Then a scholarship student named Imani Rowe sat two seats away from me in the dissection hall, and the bond snapped loud enough for the whole class to hear. She is a shifter. She has been hiding her wolf since she was six. She hates vampires on principle and she is right to. Now we are stuck in the same courthouse semester, digging through the same records. The charm hidden in her childhood blanket carries my father's seal. The court has been doing this to shifter children for thirty years. And the cousin I'm supposed to lose to knows exactly what's in the vault. I am the last of the blood line. I have one semester to decide what the blood line is for.
