A Widow and a Wolf

A Widow and a Wolf

A Dark Enemies to Lovers Rags to Romance Fantasy

by Margharita Lupei

Mirela Repede has one bad winter left in her, and the village needs rent. So they sell the pass's cold and Mirela with it — seven years as a servant in the boyar's mountain hall, and no return ticket. The hall is not empty. For a century a fae wolf has been bound in a man's body to the boyar's hearth, punishment for eating a bride. Iancu is supposed to be the household's curse. He is not supposed to be treated as a man. Mirela has nothing left, so she has nothing left to fear. She talks to him. She learns his language. They make a bargain: one knot of his binding per year, no touching, no lying. The first year, they break the first knot. The second year, they break something else. The boyar is counting, and the wolves in the pass are counting, and Mirela is not going to be anyone's rent again.
