Wrecking the Foreman

Rory Quinn is the only woman on the Meridian Tower crew, and she's twenty-six. Her foreman, Dom Callahan, is forty-eight, fifteen years sober, and has vouched for exactly one person in his career: her. He shouldn't have. On her first week she reports a short pour, and the crew turns on her for it. Dom stands behind her anyway. Because she's right. The violation turns out to be the visible edge of a materials-fraud scheme that could kill someone. Four months of core samples, falsified purchase orders, and late nights in the site trailer later, they have the file — and something else neither of them will name. When the developer tries to bury the report and fire Rory, Dom walks into the client meeting with the evidence and his whole career on the table. An age-gap boss romance about a man who built things for a living and a woman who made him build something else.
