Tied by the Night Auditor

The Hotel Estrela has twelve rooms, no guests after midnight, and a ledger no auditor has ever kept in order for more than a month. Yara Bakhoum takes the night shift because she wants quiet. On her first week she audits past two, a guest checks out, and the hotel's owner — who has been sleeping in the penthouse for ninety years — comes down to the lobby in a linen suit to ask her why the numbers won't behave. Vasco Nogueira is not what she expected. He's dying. He's polite. He's under a debt older than the building. Yara is a night auditor. She knows exactly what to do with a debt. A dark modern vampire romance, quiet and slow and absolutely unforgiving.
