The Wounded Colonel

Colonel Nathan Ashford doesn't want to run a defense contractor. He wants a range and a rifle and the body he had at thirty-two. Poppy Chahal builds running blades for amputees and has spent four years trying to find the manufacturer who killed her brother's future. When Fenwick Group flies her in to consult on a prosthetics contract, she assumes it's the job of a lifetime. It's a cover. The test data behind Fenwick's flagship spinal brace is falsified, and the subcontractor that made it is the same company Poppy has been hunting. Now she has the proof and Nathan has the corporate jet and both of them have a reason to burn the whole division down. A slow-burn billionaire military romance about a colonel who can't run, an engineer who can't look away, and one walk along the Detroit riverfront.
