The Thistle

She came home to bury the past. She found a stranger wearing her father's name. Lady Joanna Ruthven left the Highlands for London society and never looked back. But when her father suffers a stroke, she returns to find the estate in ruins, her English stepmother selling the silver, and a dark-haired stranger — Alec MacNair — claiming to be the rightful heir. Joanna is certain he's a fortune hunter. Alec is certain she's a spoiled London miss. But as they search for the truth behind a forged will, the wild beauty of the Highlands and the quiet strength of a man who belongs to it begin to change Joanna's heart. When the courts rule and the scandal breaks, Joanna must decide: return to the ballrooms of London, or claim the only home — and the only man — she's ever truly wanted.
