The Sergeant's Shame at Soldier Creek

Two years ago I walked into the warehouse and found Tack on the pool table with the new bartender. I boxed the ledgers, opened an account in a dead woman's name, and didn't come home. Now the Demons are under indictment, the only person who can swear to a specific transaction is me, and Tack is on my porch with a subpoena and a haircut that says he's been in court for weeks. He doesn't ask me to forgive him. He testifies against his own patch and sits outside my door for three days until I let him in. He can stay outside as long as he likes. He's going to have to hand me back the only thing I ever really asked him for.
