The Rejected Luna's Ledger

Eleven years as Luna. One spring gathering to lose it. Linden Voss leaves the Hollow Creek pack with a duffel bag, a severance check, and the pack's old account book tucked in her coat — a habit she can't break. She buys a failing used-book shop in Marrow Bay and plans to be nobody's anything. Then Ottoline Pryce is found dead in a locked greenhouse, and the town calls it a heart attack. Linden knows better. Ottoline was a shifter's widow, and the appraisal ledger in Linden's back room lists a first edition that has no business existing. Following the ledger takes her through an estate auction, a taxidermist with a grudge, and a dead woman's estranged son — and into a thirty-year scheme that laundered pack severance money through forged rare books. When her old mate arrives to ask her home, Linden has a question of her own: whose money did he spend? A cozy mystery of bookshops, small towns, and the packs that lie about their accounts.
