The Iron Bride

Eira has spent five years forging a blade she'll never sell — a sword with a flaw only she can find, made for the man who killed her father. When the crown orders her north to forge General Oren Halstead's new blade before a coming war, she goes, and she brings the flawed sword with her. Nine months in his fortress, under his roof, at his fire. He knows exactly who she is. He tells her on the fourth night, and then he leaves the room and lets her decide. Eira stays. The forge is hot, the work is honest, and the man she came to kill is turning out to be the one person in the kingdom who reads the same scars she does. But the king has plans of his own, and the blade Eira is forging will decide who lives and who hangs by winter. A dark enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance for readers who know the best weapon is a person who will not be used twice.
