The Hollow Heiress

Every October, Kingsmoor Academy names one girl Heiress. Nobody will say what happens to her. Corin Vale is the first scholarship student ever chosen — and she let herself be chosen, because her mother was Heiress twenty years ago and never left. Kingsmoor runs on debts, and the ledger is kept underground. Three boys hold most of those debts, and all three of them want something from her: Alaric, who says he'll keep her alive; Theo, who has her mother's file and won't hand it over; Jonas, who broke her wrist in week one and then wouldn't let anyone else touch her. When the marks burn onto Corin's wrist, three at once, the undercroft door opens — and her mother's name is inside, unpaid, three times. The Heiress isn't an honour. She's the collateral. Corin has until October to burn the ledger, or take her mother's place.
